In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes? 

In ¨The Interlopers¨ by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. One time when I felt like an interloper is everyday in the cafeteria. I have suffered from extreme misophonia meaning I hate the sound of chewing/eating/crunching. Due to this I feel very uncomfortable and out of place in the lunch room. I feel like I dont belong their and never have and I also often feel a bit of imposterism as if I am an importer in the cafeteria. This affects my relationships with my friends because that is where we are supposed to socialize but I am unable to and feel a little stuck in my mind. The emotions I have during this are often anger and annoyance. Overall the cafeteria is where i feel most out of place/like an interloper because of this. 

Summary:

Today in class we did a common lit on ¨the interlopers¨ Mr. Reese was not here today. 

Reflection:

Today in class we learned about how to use common lit and I learned about what an interloper is.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.   The part of the annotated bibliography that challenged me the most was definitely the evaluation. I found this challenging because I could not find the credibility in the source itself rather, I had to do further research on who wrote the source and their perspective to see in check for biases. This challenge helped me grow as a researcher, giving me more experience on learning how to recognize a credible and not credible source and how to look for biases in each source. This will help me write my research paper to be as credible as possible, making it without a bias, and ensuring that all points of view are seen throughout my source.
