 Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

One meaningful place in my life that carries a story is my grandparents house in Miami. This house is so meaningful to me because of how many generations this house has been in my family. My grandparents moved into their house when my mother was 2 years old and they have had it since then. When I was young I used to spend every summer and thanksgiving in this house, my grandmother used to set up her Christmas tree months in advance so we could celebrate early with her. She also loved seeing me and my sisters excited about her decorations. Because of the years of memories, love, and wear put into this house it is very meaningful to me and I love going back to visit it. 

Summary: 

Today we focused on how to depict wether a story is a creation myth and the characteristics to look out for.

Reflection:

Overall today in class I learned about the gist of how to recognize how a creational myth is displayed and told.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life). In the spirit of Valentine's Day week, my idea of a perfect day spent with someone I care about is spending the day hanging out with my mom and sisters. I would wake up late come downstairs and eat a late brunch with my mom and then spend the afternoon shopping or watching movies with my sisters. Then we would come home and start getting ready for a nice dinner. My whole family would go to a nice Italian restaurant and then get some dessert on the way back home. After we got home me and the rest of my family would play board games until we got to bed. That is my idea of a perfect day with people I care about. Summary: Today in class we continued planning for our rhetorical analysis essay. Reflection: I learned a lot and feel more prepared after planning.
