 It’s Homecoming Week! 🎉 What do you love most about being part of the Lakeside community? How do you show off your school spirit? What is your favorite Homecoming tradition or event?

What I love most about being part of the Lakeside community would be my friends here. I have met so many people who are now some of my closest friends and that make school worth going to making that the best part in my opinion of the Lakeside community. I show off my school spirit by dancing in the hall ways with my friends and dressing up to the themes of the games. My favorite homecoming theme is the dance, the game, and the themes. This part of homecoming makes it easily one of the best weeks of the year along with the pep rally really summing it all up. Overall I am so excited about this weekend and have the BEST WEEK EVERRR, and I am so sad it is my second to last one but I am forever grateful for these experiences. 

Summary:

Today in class Mr. Rease was being the BEST and literally made my day. 

Reflection:

Today I learned that Mr. Rease is my absolute favorite teacher ever.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life). In the spirit of Valentine's Day week, my idea of a perfect day spent with someone I care about is spending the day hanging out with my mom and sisters. I would wake up late come downstairs and eat a late brunch with my mom and then spend the afternoon shopping or watching movies with my sisters. Then we would come home and start getting ready for a nice dinner. My whole family would go to a nice Italian restaurant and then get some dessert on the way back home. After we got home me and the rest of my family would play board games until we got to bed. That is my idea of a perfect day with people I care about. Summary: Today in class we continued planning for our rhetorical analysis essay. Reflection: I learned a lot and feel more prepared after planning.
