 Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Of today's 15 vocabulary words the three I think I will use the most in my speaking and writing this semester would be aesthetic, ambiguous, and affinity. Aesthetic is a word that feels useful to me because I am interested in design therefore making aesthetic appear as most useful to me in the sense that Aesthetic is a great part of design.  Ambiguous is a word that feels powerful to me because I strive to be more ambiguous and open about opinions, for this reason it would probably become more frequent in my vocabulary because it is something I am passionate about. Lastly, affinity is a word that is seemingly useful to me because I often feel affinity when looking at things and with certain subjects, books, and etc. Overall those are the three words that I can picture myself using the most frequently. 

Summary:

Today in class we learned vocabulary words and made sentences with those words. 

Reflection:

Today in class we learned new vocabulary and I feel like I have definitely grown/expanded my vocabulary following this lesson.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life). In the spirit of Valentine's Day week, my idea of a perfect day spent with someone I care about is spending the day hanging out with my mom and sisters. I would wake up late come downstairs and eat a late brunch with my mom and then spend the afternoon shopping or watching movies with my sisters. Then we would come home and start getting ready for a nice dinner. My whole family would go to a nice Italian restaurant and then get some dessert on the way back home. After we got home me and the rest of my family would play board games until we got to bed. That is my idea of a perfect day with people I care about. Summary: Today in class we continued planning for our rhetorical analysis essay. Reflection: I learned a lot and feel more prepared after planning.
