 You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

So far this class has been very satisfying for me. I enjoy the repetition of we have an intro to the unit we do an assignment a day about the unit, we have a quiz about the unit, and we write a blog post. This schedule works well with my mindset and I like being able to plan in advance for the work for this class. I also think that the structure of this class is nice in the fact that it is very interactive and we can say our opinions following the texts we read and the assignments we are given. At points this class can be a big overwelming/much but overall I feel that I have been learning and progressing well following this class. I also think that we could read the texts slightly faster but this slower pace does help me learn and understand better. 

Summary:

Today we read and analyzed another Emily Dickinson poem and got introduced to our new assignment of creating a sound track. 

Reflection:

Today I bettered my analying skills and learned more about the steps necessary to successfully analyze a poem spesifically Emily Dickinson's.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.   The part of the annotated bibliography that challenged me the most was definitely the evaluation. I found this challenging because I could not find the credibility in the source itself rather, I had to do further research on who wrote the source and their perspective to see in check for biases. This challenge helped me grow as a researcher, giving me more experience on learning how to recognize a credible and not credible source and how to look for biases in each source. This will help me write my research paper to be as credible as possible, making it without a bias, and ensuring that all points of view are seen throughout my source.
