 As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your favorite word and how often do you use it? 

Thinking about my previous vocabulary lessons my favorite word right now is bombast. I think it is a funny word to use because of the meaning being impressive but meaningless language. That is exactly what bombast is, no one really knows that word so when I say it people seem impressed. After they ask what that means I tell them and they think I am just saying that it is an impressive but meaningless word when really that it the meaning. I find it very ironic which is why I like it so much and I usually use it in the context of some of my teachers and the way the choose to speak. 

Summary:

Today in class we went over how to use PowerPoint to its full advantage and we worked on our PowerPoints. 

Reflection:

Today in class I learned how to better take advantage of PowerPoint's helpfull tools and I finished up my project.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life). In the spirit of Valentine's Day week, my idea of a perfect day spent with someone I care about is spending the day hanging out with my mom and sisters. I would wake up late come downstairs and eat a late brunch with my mom and then spend the afternoon shopping or watching movies with my sisters. Then we would come home and start getting ready for a nice dinner. My whole family would go to a nice Italian restaurant and then get some dessert on the way back home. After we got home me and the rest of my family would play board games until we got to bed. That is my idea of a perfect day with people I care about. Summary: Today in class we continued planning for our rhetorical analysis essay. Reflection: I learned a lot and feel more prepared after planning.
