 In Chapter 5 of Into the Wild, McCandless is strongly influenced by writers like Jack London, whose stories shape the way he thinks about adventure and wilderness. Has a book, song, musician, or artist ever influenced the way you think about life, goals, or the world around you? Identify the specific book, song, musician, or artist and explain how their ideas or message affected your thinking.

One artist who has influenced the way I think about life is Christopher Nolan. Each of his movies are extremely well written with a very deep and meaningful plot. Specifically the movie Intersteller has changed my perspective on the world around me giving me a more in depth look at what space is and what it means for life. It shows the ideas of different dimensions and what they would do for if the world were to end but overall shows that love means the most out of any of it. It shows the relationship between a father and daughter and it shows the lengths a father would go to live up to his promise to his daughter. This movie was a beautiful work of art and will forever change my perspective of the space around us. 

Summary:

Today in class we read another chapter of Into the Wild and answered questions on it. 

Reflection: 

These questions had us go more in depth with the book and what the details meant to the story.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.  One thing that I can not stop thinking about is what I learned about in AP Psychology today. We watched this video about people called "Wild Children" who are people who were raised with little to no human contact/interactions. These children were captured at birth and were striped of their rights to do anything basically. Because they have no knowledge of language and had no one to interact with for the critical learning period of their lives they make little to no noise. The aspect that I think about the most is that I am unable to grasp the idea of how my thought process would look like without words/vocabulary/language. I can not fathom the idea of thinking without words. I am also curious about how they felt after being found and brought into the human world. Overall this is a very interesting topic to me and I have found myself unable to get it off my mind.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.   The part of the annotated bibliography that challenged me the most was definitely the evaluation. I found this challenging because I could not find the credibility in the source itself rather, I had to do further research on who wrote the source and their perspective to see in check for biases. This challenge helped me grow as a researcher, giving me more experience on learning how to recognize a credible and not credible source and how to look for biases in each source. This will help me write my research paper to be as credible as possible, making it without a bias, and ensuring that all points of view are seen throughout my source.
